A first meeting with a stranger is an interview. You sit across from someone, you perform, you both decide whether to keep performing.
Pairo matches pairs of friends. Two of you, two of them. It's a hangout, not an interview — and if the night goes somewhere, it goes somewhere. If it doesn't, you still went out with your friend.
Haven't got anyone free? Solo mode is one tap and it's just the two of you. Same rules, same safety, no friend required.

Safety
Built with the obvious problems in mind
Meeting strangers has real risks, and a dating app that pretends otherwise isn't worth using.
Bring a friend, or go alone
Two friends meeting two friends, or just the two of you in solo mode — your call, every time. Nobody is put in a Pairo they didn't agree to.
Checked before anyone sees it
Photos, names, bios and group-chat messages are checked automatically before other people can see them, and friend lines before they go on anyone's profile. Nothing in the group chat goes live unchecked.
Block is absolute
A blocked person disappears from your feed and your friend list, can't start a Pairo with you, and can't message you privately. This goes both ways, and it sticks even if they delete their account and come back with the same number or Apple ID.
Report from anywhere
From the feed, your saved list, or any chat — anywhere you see someone. Reports about someone looking underage are never dismissed automatically and go to the front of the queue for a person.
Pairo is 18+. Your date of birth is checked at sign-up and enforced by the database itself — not just the screen. There are no exceptions to this one.
